How we look after your information

Who we are

Akash Jindal is responsible for your personal information (the "data controller"). Contact: hello@theakashjindal.com. Akash is also the grievance officer for data protection questions.

What we collect

• When you book: your name, email address, the session and time you chose, and anything you tell us about your target roles or LinkedIn profile.
• When you pay: Razorpay processes your card or UPI details. We receive the payment reference, amount, currency, payment method type and status. We never receive your full card number.
• Before and after the session: your CV and anything else you email us, and the notes and screenshots we send you.
• If you leave a review: your rating, words, and what you allowed us to publish.
• When you visit the website: Cloudflare keeps short-lived security logs, which include IP addresses. Our visitor counts use cookieless analytics: no cookies, and no tracking across other websites.

Why we use it

• To book, deliver and follow up on your session, and to send confirmations, reminders and replies to your requests. This is needed for our contract with you.
• To take payment, handle refunds and keep financial records. This is needed for the contract and to meet legal obligations.
• To keep the website secure and stop fraud and abuse. These are our legitimate interests.
• To publish a review, only if you've given consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We don't send marketing emails.

Who we share it with

We share it only with the providers who help us run the service, and only what each one needs:

• Razorpay: payments and refunds
• Cloudflare: hosting, security and our booking database
• Resend: sending booking emails
• Google: the email, calendar and Google Meet accounts our coaches use for invites and calls
• Your coach, if it isn't Akash

These providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the UK, India, the EU and the US. They protect it with their own contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

• Booking and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically up to 8 years.
• Your CV and session notes: deleted within 90 days of your last session.
• Reviews: until you ask us to remove them.
• Unfinished bookings: deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• see the information we hold about you, or get a copy of it
• correct it
• delete it
• limit or object to how we use it
• stop publishing your review

If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the regulator where you live. In the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In India, it's the Data Protection Board of India, after contacting our grievance officer.

Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, and Razorpay sets the cookies it needs while you pay.

Age

Our sessions are for adults aged 18 or over.

Changes

If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
